Gold Hill Plant Farm

Gold Hill Plant Farm has been around for 30 years. Currently I have houseplants mostly. If you find something you like, you will like the price! I have a nice selection of succulents, a large group of Amazon lilies, and a number of Elkhorn Ferns, as well as other plants, one or two of a kind. It's best to call before coming.

In Waverly, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Alabama, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–4:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (334) 826-3281. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

It does not have a Google rating yet. That is common for new or small businesses and says nothing about quality; if you visit, leaving a review helps the next person.

Waverly is in Alabama, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Waverly is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Alabama's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.
